Pool on the cruise

Cruise Play

The cruise ship Carnival Liberty had a playroom on the very top level. During our sea only days we would take the boys up there to play. It was really a great space and Jonathan loved all the new toys while Jaxon was the exploration king. He played with instruments, trucks, tools, kitchens and even video games. It was a great place for the boys to relax and have some fun of their own. Of course Sherri was our trusted photographer and although Grandma had lots of fun playing with the boys, we didn’t get her in any pictures!!

We took our own excursion to Trunk Bay on St. John’s Island. It only took a cab, a ferry and another cab to get there, but it was beautiful and well worth it! Grandma and Grandpa watched the boys while Ian, Adam, Jen, Steve and Mer went for a swim. Afterward we went to Duffy’s for lunch. Jaxon and Jonathan both liked the menus the best!

I finally am getting to layouts from the cruise we took with Gary and Sherri, the Funderburks and Ian in December. Here is the cruise dinners layout. Yummy food!

First Haircut!

Here is the journaling: Jaxon’s first haircut was 11/13/08. Grandma Judy met us at Kid’s Hair and Darlene Olsen cut it for us. Darlene gave Jaxon bubbles to play with while she cut, and he also learned how to blow them for the first time all by himself! What a day!

November Snow!

Here is the journaling: On Monday November 3rd it was near 70 degrees outside. We went to the park and played. Only four short days later on Friday we had our first snow of the season that stuck. It melted by mid afternoon so you and Mommy rushed outside in the morning to play in the white stuff. It entertained you for only about 20 minutes and then we had to go inside because your hands got cold. That’s what happens when you refuse to wear your mittens! I just loved watching you play with snow for the first time. Last year you were too little to play in the cold wet fun.

This was one of my assignments for a class and I thought it was cute. There's a couple typos I have to fix before printing. I know!

Fall Leaves

We went to the cabin this last weekend to take some fun fall photos and visit the winery. Here is a layout I did of Jaxon playing in the leaves at the cabin while Daddy and Grandpa tried to rake them.

I've been trying to get some pictures of Jaxon in the front yard scrapped. There just aren't enough hours in the day. I'll try this week to get a few more otherwise I'll just post some photos. I'm pretty excited I learned how to recolor portions of a photo today like the one seen here. Hope everyone is doing well! Love you!

Painting the trim

In case some of you were unaware, we are getting a new roof and siding this fall. In anticipation, we have been getting our house cleaned up. The whole family painted all the trim on the house one weekend. Even Jaxon helped.

August is a beautiful month for golf

Grandma and Grandpa went golfing with Ian and Daddy. Afterward everyone came over and G & G gave Jaxon a golf lesson. Can you guess what Uncle Ian did? Yep! Took a nap!

August Zoo Month

We went to the zoo a few times in the month of August. Fun times!

Paige's 5th Birthday

Well.... At least I can be trusted to update the blog at least once a month.

Here ar some layouts I created for Paige's birthday party. She had a petting zoo and pony rides. Jaxon didn't like riding the horse too much. Maybe next time.
